Leave the hook empty for at least 1 hour so the adhesive has time to fully set.

Keep pushing the hook until the latch sits above the bottom line of the square.
Draw your yarn from back to front leaving a few inches of a tail as shown.
Pull the yarn to the right between the latch and the hook and then wrap it around the back of the hook.
Using a whip stitch sew around the folded edge of your rug canvas as well as that tail to hold the extra rug canvas down at the back of your work as well as secure the tail end of your yarn.
Place more picture hanging hooks every 10 inches until you ve reach the width of the wall hanging.
Push your latch hook up underneath the first square where you want to place your yarn.
Measure 10 inches across to the right of the first hook.
Turn your latch hook project right shaggy side down.
Pull the yarn up and to the left keeping the yarn under the latch.
This is how it should look when you are finished.
Slide the hook down onto the backplate until the tab clicks into place to secure your hook.
Slide the hook onto the wall and wait 1 hour before hanging anything.
Hold the hook piece over the backplate so the tab lines up with the hole in front of the hook.
