The final step is to actually install the roof trusses. Common rafters must be measured according to the angle and pitch of the roof then cut them into the perfect. Have someone hold them up for you as you are securing them in so that they are straight on. Two gable ends complete with crane triangles cutout at the top.

Align the first metal roofing panel so that it overlaps the edging by 1 2 to 3 4 of an inch and is square to the roof. Every step of the truss installation follows explicit instructions from the manufacturer. To do this you can take your marked areas and use a drill and screws to secure them to the sides of the wall. Install each truss only after it has been completely assembled.

You simply have to follow these instructions to initiate an easy process. In past trusses can only be installed by the builders as they are having specialized equipment and expertise in the field. Place the first screw. Measure the accurate length of the ridge beam and the common rafters as well as hip rafters.

Install the roofing screws vertically along each rib in the panel. Hoist each one into position and make sure that the ground bracing is already prepared to support the first truss. Trusses can be made by wood or steel. Typically the contractor sets most or all of the trusses on the side of the roof opposite the location.

Any roof truss that s over 30 long and has a pitch greater than 5 12 is probably too big to be lifting by hand. Gusset plates are used to secure the connections between the individual truss components. Cut plywood gusset plates to fasten together lightweight trusses. So you can choose the one that you find good for yourself.

Be sure the larger edge is laid so that the small edge of the next panel will overlap it.
