Installation of the stove pipe is the same as for vertical installation. Next using a 5 16 nut driver attach the chimney rain cap to the chimney pipe. The chimney for the stove consists of a metal chimney pipe that goes through a chimney box also known as a ceiling collar and terminates above the roof. Drill a small hole in this spot to mark the chimney s center.

Trace the outline of the base of the rubber boot onto the metal roof with a pencil. Remove the rubber boot. Install the slip connector or telescoping section last. The chimney pipe must protrude through the roof a minimum of 2 feet and it must be at least 10 feet away from the roof line.

Place the chimney where it would be related to the stove and mark the center of the chimney on the ceiling. After trimming your pipe use black furnace cement to seal between each piece and three sheet metal screws at each joint. The kit to install the chimney. Use your finger or a tool to smooth the silicone around.

Screw it down in a way that its fits tight over the humps of the metal roof. Then attach the pipe to the stove and chimney pipe making sure it is rigid and tight. Slide the rubber boot over the pipe to check the fit. Trim the flashing in the center of the rubber boot with a roofing knife so it fits snugly around the pipe.

Start with the rigid sections and work from the stove to the wall. Heavier gauge pipe will likely have adjustable slip joints which will eliminate the need for trimming. After screwing it down securely do another bead of silicone around the edge also put some silicone on all the screws as well. Use your feet to flatten the flashing down over the contour of the roof.
